Asian inspired handcrafted fine furniture

Our compact Tansu style coffee table not only looks terrific, it also provides a great place to hide away your TV remotes, games, coasters and magazines. It’s made in a combination of solid Ash for the trim and top and Red Oak plywood for the cabinet. The cabinet box is made from CARB compliant U.S. made plywood. This is not the case for the typical cheaply made Chinese products. Since this coffee table is Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) it will require assembly, but the shipping costs are much less and it's also better for the environment since it requires less fuel to transport it. This also uses top-notch Hafele RTA fittings with brass inserts to make all connections extra strong. Assembly is easy and only requires a Philips screwdriver.

These coffee tables are made in small batches in Vista, California. The wood is all hand selected for its beauty and character. This is definitely NOT assembly line furniture. It's made to be beautiful, strong and durable. We know that you can find products that are less expensive, but you won't find a better value.

SALE! This deluxe shoe bench is a custom made version of Woodistry’s Tansu II and is made one at a time to your exact specifications for size and materials, The shoe bench shown here is constructed in a combination of White Oak for the legs, trim and top. The side and back panels are Wenge. This wood was selected for it grain patterns to give the absolute best look possible for the piece.

The legs and side rails are all connected using mortise and tenon joinery. The side and back panels for these units are all book-matched flat panels of solid wood. This getabako (shoe bench in Japanese) looks good from every angle. As such they also make terrific little coffee tables, which is what this particular unit was purchased for.

This contemporary Asian styled coffee table features a beautiful book matched Waterfall Bubinga veneered top framed in solid Wenge hardwood. The Jatoba wood base with Wenge feet has a very curvy stance. It is finished with satin lacquer. Another in a series of demilune sideboards by Craig Thibodeau, this one with marquetry imagery of Gardenia flowers and several inlayed Blue Ulysses butterflies in Jet Onyx Reconstituted Stone and Blue Acrylester. The interior in veneered in QuarterSawn Maple and has feet and string inlay in Ash. It is finished in Satin Lacquer. Will be blanket shipped.
