Shoe Benches and Shoe Storage Cabinets

Inspiration for Woodistry's shoe bench designs comes from a lot of different places. The pattern for the sides of our new Kami bench is a stylization of a Japanese Torii gate. The torii gates are typically found at the entrance of Shinto shrines. Kami is the Japanese word for spirits, but it can also be translated to mean gods.

So, you might say that this getabako was inspired by “God”.

Inspired by Mackintosh furniture designs we came up with this new bench with our own interpretations. We received a lot of favorable feedback from designer friends on Facebook, so we are proud to introduce Mac Shoe Bench / Boot Bench at Aikomei.

Mac Bench is strong enough to easily hold the weight of two grown men (over 400 lbs in total weight) and meets our high standards for quality. The shelves are adjustable and removable and its compact design is ideal for small foyers, entryways or hallways.

As you can see from the pictures you have a choice of two different cutout patterns for the side panels. The bench is constructed of Baltic Birch plywood with three coats of a durable water based enamel finish. We offer this shoe bench in different colors, please check the options.

Mac Bench is shipped as Ready-To-Assemble, but we assemble and disassemble each one in our studio to make sure that everything fits together perfectly. Assembly only requires a Philips screwdriver. We design and build everything to be high quality, so we use only the best all metal Hafele RTA hardware with brass inserts for the connecting bolts. Assembly instructions

We are reintroducing this Nuribako shoe bench with hand painted Japanese characters on the sides. It is constructed of Baltic Birch ply with a durable water based acrylic finish and is one of Woodistry's latest designs with focus on lower price,weight capacity and well functional design but still meets our high standards. Showing shoe benches are in red or blue, but it can come in all clear finish, green or black.

This compact shoe bench is ideal for small foyers, entryways, or mudrooms. And it's a great height for most people to put on or take off your shoes. The shelf is adjustable and removable, so you could also use it for boots as tall as 14 ½”.

Shoe Bench Sapele, our latest addition to Tansu II series, constructed in solid Sapele for the legs and trim, sold Maple for the top and Maple plywood for the cabinet. The sturdy construction can support two adults sitting on it and comes with an adjustable shelf. The bench looks great from all different angles; it can be used as a compact coffee table.

SALE! Woodistry's latest shoe bench design, the Takebako Bench. "Takebako", pronounced "tah-kay-bah-ko", is Japanese for bamboo box. It has a few minor defects due to voids in the bamboo material, so we have reduced the price to $590. It's filled, but our assistant used a filler that was a shade off. It's their first all eco-friendly bamboo shoe storage bench.

This limited edition of Tansu styled shoe storage bench (getabako or kutsubako) is in a combination of solid Ash for the top and trim (legs and rails) and ebonized Oak ply for the cabinet.

With the coffee table trim at the rear it will make a uniquely designed coffee table with an Asian flare. As a shoe bench it holds about eight pairs of adult shoes. With its Japanese Tansu inspired style it can be used as a hall or entryway bench or bedroom bench. Assembly instructions
