This compact Tansu style coffee table not only looks terrific, it also provides a great place to hide away your TV remotes, games, coasters and magazines. It’s made in a combination of solid Ash for the trim and top and Red Oak plywood for the cabinet. The table is finished with three coats of a clear waterborne pre-catalyzed lacquer. The cabinet box is made from CARB compliant U.S. made plywood. This is not the case for the typical cheaply made Chinese products. In our opinion Chinese plywood is not even suitable for making shipping crates. Just ask the people who lived in the FEMA trailers.

Since this coffee table is Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) it will require assembly, but the shipping costs are much less and it's also better for the environment since it requires less fuel to transport it. This also uses top-notch Hafele RTA fittings with brass inserts to make all connections extra strong. And each coffee table is completely assembled and then disassembled in the studio to ensure that everything fits perfectly! If you would like to see the assembly instructions please view it. These coffee tables are made in small batches in Vista, California. The wood is all hand selected for its beauty and character. This is definitely NOT assembly line furniture. It's made to be beautiful, strong and durable. We know that you can find products that are less expensive, but you won't find a better value.

You may have noticed this coffee table is just like our Tansu style shoe benches, yes, you are right. We have noticed that many of our customers purchased our Tansu style shoe bench as an Asian inspired coffee table; they ended up as a show piece in their living room.
