03/01/2011 Nuribako Shoe Bench, Newest Addition We are always trying to come up with new ideas for our shoe benches. Nuribako is our latest design, and we are pretty excited about it. In Japanese "nuri" means painted and "bako" means box. The goal in this design was to have a lower priced getabako that looks good, is strong enough to easily hold the weight of two grown men (with a combined weight of over 400 lbs.) and meets our high standards for quality. 12/08/2010 Sale on the Last Piece of Tansu II Shoe Bench Jarrah   SOLD Sale!!! Oops, this is the last of our Jarrah trimmed shoe benches – and it has an owie! There are a few minor defects on the rear of this bench which, if it were offered at places like Crate & Barrel would be considered features; but to us it’s an imperfection. So, we are offering this at a discount. To be honest most people would probably not even see that there was anything wrong with this unit, so now is your chance to get a nice piece of furniture at a great price. Our suppliers are no longer carrying Jarrah, so we are looking for another wood species to use for the trim.

03/01/2008 Woodistry's New All Bamboo Shoe Storage Bench Woodistry has just come out with a new shoe bench design - the Takebako (tah-kay-bah-ko) bench. This shoe bench is made entirely of environmentally friendly bamboo and as Ready-To-Assemble (RTA). RTA requires some assembly, but it comes with benefits: 1) saving in the shipping cost as dimentional shipping weight for a RTA is about 30 pound less than a fully assembled unit, 2) RTA unit is much less prone to shipping damages in the transit. Check this newest creation of Woodistry. **This product has been discontinued due to unavailability of the materials.
